Hypnosis

Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a focused state of attention that can help you become more receptive to suggestions that support the changes you want to make. You remain aware and in control throughout the process. Despite what movies and stage performances may suggest, hypnosis is not mind control or brainwashing. It will not make you do something against your will, or cause you to become “stuck” in hypnosis. Instead, hypnosis is a collaborative process that uses focused attention, relaxation, imagery, and suggestion to help you work towards your goals.
How Can Hypnosis Help?
Much of what we do in everyday life is influenced by established thoughts, habits, beliefs, and patterns. Some serve us well, while others may become frustrating, limiting, or simply no longer beneficial. Hypnosis provides an opportunity to focus intentionally on the patterns you would like to change and reinforce thoughts, behaviors, and responses that are more consistent with your goals.
Hypnosis may be used to support:
-
Changing unwanted habits and patterns
-
Greater self-awareness
-
Personal growth
-
Positive thinking
-
Development of self-hypnosis skills
-
Stress reduction and relaxation
-
Focus and concentration
-
Motivation
-
Confident and self-esteem
-
Goal achievement
What Does Hypnosis Feel Like?
People often describe hypnosis as a deeply focused or relaxed experience, similar to becoming absorbed in a book, movie, music, or daydream. You do not lose consciousness during hypnosis. You remain aware of what is happening and can choose whether or not to respond to suggestions. The hypnotist serves as a guide while you remain an active participant in the process.
Creating Change From Within
Hypnosis is not a magic solution or something that is "done to you". Your participation, motivation, and willingness to engage in the process are important. The hypnotist provides guidance, techniques, and suggestions to help you explore established patterns of thought and behavior, identify what may be getting in the way, and focus your attention on the changes you want to make.
