she/her
Kelsey is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who graduated from New Mexico State University (NMSU) with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with minors in both Integrated Behavioral Health and Psychology. She has experience working in community, university, and public school settings. She is currently pursuing her full LMHC and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC) status through continued work in the community.Â
Having grown up in Southern New Mexico, Kelsey is familiar with the community and has had the opportunity to work with the diverse populations in our area. She recognizes the importance of meeting clients where they are at to find ways of improving wellbeing that fit their unique circumstances.
Kelsey has always wanted to be a counselor, which led her to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at NMSU. She was exposed to neuroscience which sparked an interest in using knowledge about the way human brains process information to enhance traditional counseling methods.
She believes the way we heal is unique and supports a holistic approach of both the mind and the body to empower clients for overall wellness. Kelsey's long-term goals include having a private practice that focuses on psychoeducation, mindfulness, and trauma informed approaches.
