Catherine is a Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor registered in the state of New Mexico and a Licensed Professional Counselor registered in the states of Texas and Colorado. She obtained her Masters in Counseling from the University of Colorado, Denver. Prior to pursuing her graduate degree, Catherine had a career as a Forensic Scientist working as a DNA analyst and a Crime Scene Technician for over 10 years. This experience continues to be helpful in that she can provide a logical and/or emotional perspective depending on what best meets her client’s needs.
Catherine is the founder of Emotional Triggers Treatment (ETT). She developed this treatment to help clients resolve the stuckness that many of her clients were experiencing. As a result, she developed a trauma-informed treatment that is highly effective in resolving the triggers that cause anger, anxiety, depression, guilt/shame, phobias, unresolved grief, chronic pain, relationship issues, and any other unwanted behaviors.

Kelsey is completing her final year in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Graduate Program at New Mexico State University (NMSU). She has experience working with clients; during her practicums at the NMSU Counseling Clinic, and with students in the Las Cruces Public Schools. She is continuing to gain more professional experience as a Counseling Intern to obtain her full license and continue to help others in the Las Cruces community.
Having grown up in Southern New Mexico, Kelsey is familiar with the community and has had the opportunity to work with the diverse populations in our area. She recognizes the importance of meeting clients where they are at to find ways of improving wellbeing that fit their unique circumstances.
Kelsey has always wanted to be a counselor, which led her to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at NMSU. She was exposed to neuroscience which sparked an interest in using knowledge about the way human brains process information to enhance traditional counseling methods. She believes the way we heal is unique and supports a holistic approach of both the mind and the body to empower clients for overall wellness. Kelsey long-term goals include having a private practice that focuses on psychoeducation, mindfulness, and trauma informed approaches.
